March 2019 – my monthly roundup

Hi again kittens, I know it’s already halfway through April, but I have been so so busy! But it’s all worth it. So, my month has been filled with lovely food, exploring our new town and watching shows and movies that make me want all of the things. As I write, the sun is shining, I can see the Cotswolds off in the distance and I’m amazingly at peace. Even though my brain has been scrambled a little with information I’ve been taking in at work. It’s exciting to be part of the future of the company though, I’m along …

Update: February 2019

Hello my beauties, I’m staying on the monthly updates, just to give a little insight into what happens behind the scenes here at ohsodelightful. So buckle up, get yourself a cuppa and enjoy 😘 At the start of this month, I was still plugging away at getting gainfully employed, being a holly housewife and working on my never ending sewing pile. I’d given myself to the end of the month to get a position equal to, or better than my previous job; then I was going to start exploring other avenues. I’ve also started a digital marketing diploma, as you …

Update: January 2019

hello my beauties, I’ve not been very good at updating this site since we moved – it’s been a whirlwind of getting settled in and learning new things so I thought I’d give you all a little round up of what my month has looked like. I am currently working on a complete overhaul on how Oh So Delightful looks and feels when you visit. Don’t worry, you’ll still get all the vintage tips and tutorials as well as fashion and lifestyle inspiration – the site will be a little more sleek and easy to use. I really hope you …

New adventures await us…

Hello beauties, So, you may already know this, but if not I have a huge, exciting and a little bit terrifying announcement to make. It’s been a rollercoaster; but now everything (and me) has calmed down a bit I’m ready to share. No I’m not pregnant (being a certain age and female you’d be surprised how many people think I’m up the stick) I don’t even know where to start with this. Well, I guess the situation is probably best otherwise no one will have any clue at all what I’m waffling on about. But first, here’s some amazing vintage …

How to stay connected with Self Care as a couple

Hello my lovelies, Recently, Mr Delightful has started a new job which means that we don’t see each other as much. In the week, we are apart and depending on my work shifts, I may also be working Saturday. So, from being together almost everyday, to 3 days a week has been an adjustment. We do talk and facetime everyday, but I thought I would share the ways that we connect and have a little self-care together with you all. As you may know, self-care and mental health is a big passion of mine. To be honest, day-to-day stress quickly …

My first photoshoot experience, with pin-up photo shoot tips

Hello my beauties, If you follow me on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook, you’ll know that back in November 2017 I finally had my first pin up photoshoot experience with Firefly Photography. I thought I would share my experience, and some of my top pin up photoshoot tips. I have always wanted to do this, and I thought I would share my whole experience with you all. I was lucky enough to be treated by a very good friend of mine, who also came along with me for moral support. This is a good idea, especially if it’s your first time. …

Why self care is mega important to me

Hello lovely readers, I’m going to touch on a subject that I have been meaning to do for while. Self care. In this busy, hectic world sometime everything seems constant. Working, household management and even being social can all take their toll and your mental health can suffer. I’m going to explain why I think self care is mega important, not only for mental health, but your physical health too. Sometimes being social can be exhausting. I like to think of myself as an introvert who is very good at being an extrovert. This has recently been known as being …

Adventures in Life: our last night in Berlin

Hello again, or should I say Guten Tag!? As you may not know, I went back to Germany with my beau. We had such a wonderful time, and now I want Germany to adopt me. All of the food was so fresh, there are many amazing vegan places to eat and we went on adventures and explorations every single day. If you haven’t been, you need to. I feel that Germany as a holiday destination, is so overlooked. Well, in the U.K. it is anyway. I’m going to be sharing more of what we did and where we are over …

4 things I wish I knew when I was 21

So, for a while I have been toying with the idea of doing a general advice post. A lot of people seem to think I have it all together, so I thought I would impart my wisdom on the world. Recently, I’ve been dropping advice all over the place so I’m sharing it on here for you all today. 4 things I wish I knew when I was 21 no one knows what they are doing There is no such thing as a grown up. Bear with me on this one. There will be things that you don’t know how …

A little insight to how my brain works sometimes 2.2

Hello flower, So, I wasn’t sure if I would ever post this part. This part of my life seems so surreal that when I tell this story I feel like I’m being so melodramatic and over the top. I can’t quite believe that I got through it all to be honest. And for all of my brain farts, I am relatively unscathed. I just want to share to show anyone who is out there that these events happen, and it’s not until now, many years later that I realise how unacceptable and dangerous it was. I am lucky. Many others …
