hello my beauties,
I’ve not been very good at updating this site since we moved – it’s been a whirlwind of getting settled in and learning new things so I thought I’d give you all a little round up of what my month has looked like.
I am currently working on a complete overhaul on how Oh So Delightful looks and feels when you visit. Don’t worry, you’ll still get all the vintage tips and tutorials as well as fashion and lifestyle inspiration – the site will be a little more sleek and easy to use. I really hope you all like it, keep an eye on my social media feeds as I’ll be launching the new site on there. For a sneaky peak – here’s my new banner image for you to have a look at 😊
You’ll also still get all the information about my adventures and what I’ve been up to… I can’t let you all miss out on that can I? More than likely, it’ll be as a monthly update at the end of each month. ❤
So, anyway; enough about why things have been a little quiet! I’ve been having lots of fun with Mr Delightful, and I am so so happy to be able to see my favourite person everyday. After being apart in the week for so long, it’s wonderful to wake up next to my man each day – it really does get my mornings off to the best start.
Cheltenham is also wonderful, it’s a beautiful little town and I can finally make my way around without getting lost or using Google Maps! I still can’t quite believe I am really here and we’ve found an amazing little vintage shop with the most friendly shop owner – he brought out an ornate mirror to show us but unfortunately we didn’t have room to hang it 😢😢😢 I’ll keep heading in there to make sure I don’t miss out on the Aladdins cave of vintage.
I’ve also jumped on the Marie Kondo re-organisation tactics – before we moved I decluttered and I always enjoy donating items I don’t want or need anymore. But, there’s something oddly satisfying about folding all of our clothing and seeing it all so neatly put away. Plus, it’s so much easier to get dressed when you can see everything! If you’ve not given it a go – please do. Don’t get rid of everything just those items you don’t really like. After all, everything in our home should be useful or make us happy.
After all the exploring and tidying, I’ve finally gotten around to completing a lot of sewing repairs and adjustments. One of which is an amazing ball gown! I’ll make sure to post some pictures when I get dressed up in it. It truly is a delight! Now, I just need to find somewhere to wear it to 😘
After I had Christmas off (lucky me right?) I purchased a drawing tablet so I can make beautiful artwork and graphics more easily. I made this wreath illustration when I was dreaming of Springtime. It’s suddenly gotten awfully cold here, even colder than December.
For the future, I’m planning on doing more hair and make up tutorials, as well as style inspiration from my favourite repro vintage brands. I may even start doing some video reviews of various clothing – even if I do panic on camera and end up looking like a thumb with a face! Let me know if you have anything in particular you’d like me to write about – I want this site to be as helpful as possible for you all. ❤
I’m having one of those moments where I can’t quite remember all of the things I’ve been up to now. So I’ll leave it there for now.
